The Perch · Stylish A-frame cabin with hot tub

Sleeps 2 · 1 bedroom · 1 bathroom · Wood burner · Private hot tub · Fire pit · No pets

Built for two

Perched for one of the best views in mid Wales.

The Perch is a single, beautifully crafted A-frame cabin set high on the hillside above a quiet valley. From the moment you step onto the deck, the view does the talking. Rolling hills, ancient woodland, sheep moving across the fields opposite and at night, a sky thick with stars.

Inside, every detail has been thought through. Sleek timber walls catch the light. A wood burner anchors the living space. A clever space-saving staircase leads up to a mezzanine bedroom under the rafters, where Velux windows turn night-time into a private planetarium. (Nb. the bedroom is accessed by a steep alternate tread staircase which may not be suitable for guests with restricted or limited mobility).

Inside the cabin

A warm, light-filled retreat.

What our guests say

More words from recent guests at The Perch.

We had the most amazing stay, the perch had everything in we needed, the views were perfect, the owners were so welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be returning!

The Perch was a lovely stay offering amazing views, atmosphere, and quietness. The hosts had to check the hot tub twice daily but we hardly noticed them which was greatly appreciated. When we did meet the hosts they were lovely people and very friendly. I'd definitely recommend the perch to anyone, just be aware that you'll be unplugging for your stay as there is no service or WiFi on site.

You will not be disappointed if you book a break at the Perch. The views of the rolling hills, the farmer rounding up his sheep and the abundance of birds was just wonderful. We really did switch off and just enjoy our surroundings. The perch itself was just beautiful and cosy. We made use of the warming log burner and fire pit but the highlight was star gazing from the hot tub.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Perch. We enjoyed a great walk at Hafren Forest, had great local cider and spent most our time in the hot tub! We have stayed at several "Glamping" spots before and this was by far the most equipped stay. The cabin was well built and had everything we needed. Thank you so much Stacy & Bob. We hope to be back!

Having just stayed 2 nights at the 'Perch' all I can say is WOW. If you're after beautiful views and peace and quiet then the Perch is for you. Lovely kind gifts from Stacy as you arrive makes you feel at home. The perch has everything you need to unwind. The hot tub overlooking the gorgeous views is incredible. Will be 100% booking up again, just incredible.

We had a wonderful long weekend at The Perch, you feel completely at ease and private, I've never felt so relaxed! We spent our days not doing much as it was a weekend of re-setting, but the location is perfect for exploring some of Wales' wonderful places. Perfectly situated, well equipped and cosy cabin, thank you Stacy & Bob.
